FAQs

Where is Wilde Willow Candle Co based?

We are hand pouring your candles in small batches from our beach side home in Port Melbourne, Victoria.

What wax do you use?

We are using a 100% natural soy wax which is sustainable, renewable and biodegradable. It was an absolute no brainer to use as its toxin free and kind to the environment. It also burns slow which ultimately gives you a better investment for your candle purchase! Win!

Why are my candles frosting?

All natural soy waxes will frost at times. It's a sign that we are using 100% natural soy. Frosting is common but don't stress because it doesn't effect the performance of your candle!

Are your candles made to order?

Yes, our candles are made to order which means we recommend waiting a few days to light your candle to allow it to cure to completion.

Do I need to trim my candle wicks?

We strongly recommend trimming your wick to 4/5 mm before lighting your candle each time. This keeps the candle from smoking and producing a large flame, which may lead to soot around the glass jar. ALWAYS remove the trimmed wick from the candle to prevent it from possibly catching fire.

Why should I trim the wick and only burn your candles for 4 hours at a time?

Keep wick trimmed to 4/5mm before each burn. Keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings. Only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface and away from drafts. Do not burn candle for more than four hours at a time. Stop use when only 15mm of wax remains to avoid jar cracking through overheating.

Can I buy your products wholesale to sell them in my store?
